I am reluctant to take crowdfunding for my FOSS projects simply because there exists a bunch of people who thinks taking donations means obligation to fix every single bug and implement every single feature they want, while they may or may not even have donated a single penny
and most of the times donations can't even maintain a reasonable living. If making money is my No. 1 concern, then unfortunately I'd probably just make proprietary software instead. Yes, users still make unreasonable requests, but at least they pay before requesting anything.
