I have a feeling that the entire premise of live-patching is self-contradictory. If you are running software at a scale where several minutes of downtime would be unacceptable, then you should be asking why restarting one process on one server would bring down your entire service, instead of looking into how to live patch your software.

@PeterCxy true, unless the downtime to upgrade the software to a HA version is more expensive than inviting the problem. Think heavy industry.
