The problem (for me) with translating from Japanese to other languages I know (English and Chinese) is that I have to add so much more information from my own understanding to the Japanese text while simultaneously omitting so much information that simply does not fit in the grammatical structure of the target language.

In all three languages I know, Japanese is the odd one out in this regard. It just has a completely different structure and any attempt to fit it onto anything or anything else onto it seems extremely unwieldy.
